The Clean Tech Institute is offering advanced certificate training programs for careers in Clean Tech and Renewable Energy.
The Institute has developed advanced workforce training curricula and provides technical training programs to equip business executives, professional managers and dislocated workers to enter into emerging clean tech industries.
The Clean Tech Workforce Training Program has been developed to assist:
- Business executives and professionals: to re-engineer their company’s product development, manufacturing process and expand market share.
- Scientists or engineers: to become an expert and a trainer in advanced solar thin film, nanotech batteries.
- Apprentices: qualified candidates are encouraged to apply for the Apprentice Program with paid on-the-job training.
- Displaced workers with a background in technology: to get new skills for a career in a high growth industry.
These high tech professional development training workshops are taught by our faculty consisting of instructors who are subject experts from the academic and industry partners.

5-week Electric Vehicle Technologies & EV Conversion
Course features real-life conversion of an electric vehicle.
The Electric Vehicle Technology Training program covers lectures, workshops and hands-on practice, consisting of 3 levels. Level 1 covers the fundamental principle of hybrid & electric vehicle technologies. Level 2 is an intermediate and level 3 is an advanced courses. Each level will be offered over 5 weeks.

The Certified Electric Car Technician program is a 16-week comprehensive course is designed to train a new generation of electric vehicle spe-cialists to work in electric vehicle production, repair and maintenance.
The CEVT training program is conducted at the Clean Tech Institute Training Centers throughout California:

Certified Clean Tech Engineer
.The Certified Clean Tech Engineer (CCTE) is an intensive 13 week certificate program is designed to train a new generation of engineers highly skilled in the design and applications of renewable energy, process engineering and manufacturing of state of the art clean tech processes including: thin film photovoltaics, wind turbines, and nanomaterial batteries used in electric vehicles.

Train the Trainer
The Clean Tech Train theTrainer Program is a unique program offered to engineers, technical managers and professionals who wish to embark on a rewarding career of training others in the clean tech industry.
The training program is 12 weeks, in 2 parts:
Part 1: 8-weeks of intensive training in photovoltaic, thin film nanocomposte technology, wind energy, electric vehicle, advanced battery technology with hands-on workshops teaching techniques and how to become a trainer in the emerging clean tech industries.
Part 2: 4-week practice period enabling participants to give seminars and teach at the institute and other training organizations in the clean tech industries.
Next Training Date: September 3-October 22, 2011 on Saturdays only from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, followed by 4 week of training practice.
Location: at the Clean Tech Institute located in Fremont and at the NASA Ames Research Center.

Certified Nanotech and Cleantech Professional (CNCP)
8-Week advanced training programs for engineers, scientists, technical and business managers to prepared for senior level of responsibilities in technology and business development in the emerging field of nanotechnology and applications in clean energy. Group project management and hands-on training in nanocomposite thin film and advanced battery for electric vehicle technology will be highlighted . Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and Wednesday 7:00 PM- 9:00 PM (online collaboration)

Renewable Energy for the Green Economy
The Renewable Energy for the Green Economy course is a 5 week introductory training program to equip those who wish to launch a new career in the industrial evolution, transforming from fossil fuel to the clean and renewable energy. The course highlights the solar photovoltaic energy generation, energy efficiency, LED lighting system, green LEED building and the new electric vehicle industry. The course includes lectures, guest lectures, and hands-on workshops which are taught by experienced instructors and seasoned renewable energy specialists in the industry.
